I reach into his suit, below his trim waist, and curve my hand around the curiosities of his nude body.

He stills. 

I suppose that’s normal when you cup a man by his tender bits, no matter how many blades he has embedded beneath his smooth gray skin.

Exploring his body is fascinating. This is the first time I've had full control of my mind in years and I appreciate every moment of clarity. Despite his striking silver eyes, he’s not inhuman. If we met under a different circumstance, I would probably not think we were that different at all.

And yet there are some differences.

He pushes at my dress. This is his first time choosing to touch someone, and he has a lot of questions. “Do I bare you?”

“If you like. There are no rules.”

He curls his fists in the fabric and tugs. “There are always rules.”

But we have already broken so many to be here, like this, together.

And an elite warrior like him, a weapon of his empire, will never be allowed to go free...
